One of Asia’s oldest parks is Jose Rizal Park. This special park was named after the death of a famous Filipino figure of the 19th century. And in 1946, it was in this park that the independence of the country was proclaimed. Among other attractions, there is a monument to Jose Rizal, the Independence Flagpole, Japanese and Chinese Gardens, the National Library of the Philippines, the Orchid Orangery, and the Butterfly Pavilion.

6: Tabon Caves

In 1965, in the caves of Tabon on the island of Palawan, the fossilized remains of three ancient people were discovered. These remains were called “the man from Tabon.” There were also found special funeral vessels, jade jewelry, and various tools made of stone. Tourists can visit the Tabon Cave only with a guide.
